About BakeClass

What BakeClass is

BakeClass is an independent directory helping people find baking classes across the UK. We currently cover over 300 schools in more than 200 locations, from bread making and sourdough to cake decorating, patisserie, and more.

How listings are selected

We research baking schools using publicly available information - Google Maps data, school websites, and course listings. Every school on BakeClass has been individually verified to confirm they offer genuine, bookable baking classes. Schools that have closed, moved to a different focus, or that we can't verify are removed.

What we don't do

We haven't personally attended every class we list. Our recommendations in guide articles are based on extensive research across hundreds of schools, not first-hand reviews. Where we include ratings and review counts, these come from Google and were accurate at the time of publication.

Coverage

Our strongest coverage is in England, particularly London, the South East, and major cities. We're actively expanding coverage in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If a school is missing, we'd like to hear about it.

Some links on BakeClass are affiliate links, meaning we earn a small commission if you book or buy through them. This never affects which schools we list or recommend. Our editorial content is independent.

Food hygiene ratings

Where available, we display food hygiene ratings from the Food Standards Agency for baking schools listed on BakeClass. These ratings are matched by business name and postcode, and we are not always able to find a match due to differences between trading names and FSA registration names. If your school's rating is missing, incorrect, or you would like it added, please contact us at hello@bakeclass.co.uk.

Who runs it

BakeClass is run by Steven, based in the UK. It launched in February 2026.
