Data controller
BakeClass is operated by Steven Foers, trading as BakeClass. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number C1912160.

Website visitors
BakeClass does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information when you browse the site.
If you sign up for newsletter updates, we store your email address to send you relevant content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
If you contact us directly (for example by email), we keep the details you provide for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry.
Business listing data
BakeClass operates a public directory of UK baking classes. To build and maintain this directory, we collect and publish information about baking schools and class providers. This includes:
- Business name and description
- Public contact details (email address, phone number, website)
- Business address and location
- Operating information such as class types and prices
This information is gathered from publicly available sources, primarily Google Maps business listings and the businesses' own public websites.
Our legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have a legitimate interest in operating a directory that helps consumers find baking classes, and in keeping that directory accurate and up to date. We have conducted a Legitimate Interest Assessment to ensure this processing is proportionate and does not override the rights of the businesses listed.
Listings are retained while businesses remain active. We periodically refresh listing data from public sources to keep the directory current. If a business closes or requests removal, we remove the listing promptly.
If you are a listed business and would like your listing updated or removed, please email hello@bakeclass.co.uk. We will action your request as quickly as possible.
Email outreach to listed businesses
BakeClass may send occasional emails to businesses listed in the directory. These emails relate to the business's listing on BakeClass and are sent to publicly available generic business email addresses (not personal addresses).
We treat these communications as business-to-business correspondence sent to corporate subscribers under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Our legal basis is legitimate interest.
Every outreach email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured immediately and apply to all future communications from BakeClass. You can also unsubscribe by replying to any email or contacting hello@bakeclass.co.uk.
If you wish to have your listing removed from the directory entirely, you can request this through the same channels.
