Sugar Bowl Bakes

Anna Newman, named UK Baker of the Year in 2020, runs Sugar Bowl Bakes from Cheltenham as both a cake-making business and a teaching practice. Lessons are one-to-one and tailored to the individual, covering torting and filling, smooth icing, sugar flowers and sugar work, with dedicated mentoring available for professional cake makers. Children aged six and up are welcome, and the Child's Cupcake Baking and Decorating Lesson at £130 is designed with younger students in mind. The Sugar Flower Lesson, from £150, takes on one of the more technically demanding sides of cake decoration. Cupcake decorating parties for children and adults run separately, typically lasting around two hours.
