Ama la Vita

5.0(69)·From £145.00

From pizza dough and fresh pasta to traditional Italian bread, Ama la Vita offers hands-on classes in authentic Italian cuisine from its base in Hoylake on the Wirral. This Italian cookery school specialises in the fundamental techniques that form the backbone of Italian cooking, teaching students to create dishes rooted in genuine culinary traditions.

The school's signature "Pasta - Pizza - Pane" course combines three essential elements of Italian cuisine in a single session priced from £145. Students learn to work with different types of dough, mastering the techniques for creating silky fresh pasta, perfectly risen pizza bases, and traditional Italian bread. The hands-on approach means participants gain practical experience with each technique, understanding how ingredients like flour, water, and yeast behave under different conditions.

Beyond the regular classes, Ama la Vita brings its expertise directly to students' homes through individual cooking courses. These private sessions can be tailored as one-to-one experiences or arranged for small groups of friends, making them particularly suitable for special occasions and celebrations. The mobile format allows the school to create personalised experiences that introduce what they describe as both a gastronomical science and a distinctive way of eating.

The venue also accommodates corporate groups and offers private hire options, extending its reach beyond individual enthusiasts to teams and larger gatherings. This Italian cookery school suits anyone seeking to understand the techniques behind authentic Italian cuisine, from complete beginners wanting to master basic dough work to more experienced cooks looking to refine their skills in traditional methods.
